Happy 4 Months!

Our little Sweet Cheeks turned 4 months old this week! She is still full of smiles and has begun to show her Cutcher performance skills quite frequently. Here are a few examples:

Last Sunday Lucille went to her Sunday School class for the second time. When we picked her up the teachers went on and on about how smiley she was! Apparently all of the other babies started crying at the same time and Lucille just smiled!

On Wednesday Lucille went for her 4 month doctor's visit. She did great! She had never rolled completely over before, and then right when the doctor placed her on her stomach on the table, she rolled over (right there, for the doctor!)! Yay Sweet Cheeks! Other news from the doctor- Lucille now weighs about 14 pounds and measures 24 inches.

This whole week Lucille has been practicing her new skill of mimicking sounds (well... sound). She only mimics one sound so far, but it is her new absolute favorite game. She would play all day if we were up for it! Here's a clip, although she was very tired in this shot and was a little distracted.

Lucy's Latest

Lucille was all smiles this weekend when we dressed her up for church in this adorable ensemble from Aunt Mandy. She especially liked the collar (built-in chew toy!). She went to her Sunday school class for the first time and didn't cry at all! When we picked her up she was sitting happily in a Bumbo chair, chewing her new outfit. Her teachers said she just smiled at everyone! Yay!

Like I wrote previously, Lucille has figured out how to twist and turn in order to see the TV. She's just about to roll over any day now.

Lucille got to go see Grammy Lucia at her office in Salado last week! Here she is sitting with Grammy at lunch. The picture that actually shows Grammy Lucia didn't turn out! :(

Lucille is super excited that her daddy now works from home! She loves playing with him during his breaks and at lunchtime.

Lucille graduated from sitting in the infant sling in the baby bathtub to sitting in the actual baby bathtub. She loves it! She spends most of her time kicking her feet enthusiastically and trying to suck on the washcloth.

Finally, Lucille is getting very strong! She still only "tolerates" tummy time, despite her happy face in this picture.

Lucy turns 3 Months!

Happy 3 months Lucille! We are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy little baby girl!

Lucille is really starting to show her personality these days. She smiles ALL DAY. Even when she gets tired or upset she'll try so hard to smile back at us. She smiles at people at the grocery store, at church, at stoplights, and at restaurants! We love, love, love her sweet, warm smiles!

Lucille is also starting to "talk" all the time. She has a wide variety of "words" and sounds and her Grammy Lucia is convinced that she is going to start actually talking any day now :). Lucille especially likes to talk to her Daddy after work.

Lucille has started to grab at toys and despite our best efforts, is fascinated by the TV. We always face her away from the TV, but she has now started to twist her body and head in all directions to be able to see it. It's pretty funny!

I think Lucille is going to be a bit of a daredevil. She loves to jog around the house with her Mama, rock really fast in the rocking chair, and swing at high speeds. Other Lucille favorites include bath time, story time, silly music, and her Bumbo seat. Lucille's not-so-favorite-things include car rides, being held like a "little baby (horizontal position)," the vacuum, and the hair dryer.

Happy 3 Months Lucille! We can't wait for the next 3! Oh and by the way, the rest of her 3 month portraits are on Facebook.

Little Lucy Anne Meets her Great Grandparents!

Last week Lucille had the wonderful privilege of meeting her Great Grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Callison. They are from Citrus Heights, California and were making their way across the U.S. visiting family. We had such a nice time visiting with them for the evening, and lovely Lucille enjoyed all of the attention! She especially enjoyed being held by her Great Grandma and being sung to by her Great Grandpa! We all can't wait to see them again in November!
